A Different Way to Think About a Spa Day
Spa Day with Melania is more than a day away from your responsibilities. It is an invitation to slow down, listen to your body, receive care, and begin building a wellness lifestyle that can continue after the gathering ends. The Inner Reset℠ Experience brings together ritual, sensory care, body awareness, reflection, nourishment, and connection. It can be experienced one-on-one or in community, and each gathering is shaped with intention around its setting and the people present. The purpose is not simply to create a beautiful event. It is to help create a spa culture for community healing in unique settings—a culture where taking time to care for yourself is understood as necessary, restorative, and within reach. Spa Day can be experienced individually, with other participants, or as a couples experience when the setting and format are designed for shared self-care.
Care That Began at Home
My relationship with this work reaches beyond my professional practice. It is connected to more than 40 years of lived experience through my Taino culture, family, and roots. We are introduced to care early. We learn that restoration does not always begin in an expensive facility or require elaborate products. It begins with how we care for one another. I come from a tradition where spa days were created at home while caring for family and community. We used what was available and chose natural ingredients already within reach. A mayonnaise treatment could nourish the hair. These practices were simple, resourceful, and relational. Care was woven into ordinary life. The world had not yet created portable dry saunas, in-home steam saunas, or many of the tools now associated with spa culture. But the intention was already there: make space to restore the body, release what has accumulated, and help one another feel cared for. Today, I have both a dry sauna and a steam sauna in my home. I encourage participants to make their homes places of radical self-care within reach. I carry forward the tradition of working with natural products from what is available, using ingredients such as honey for cleansing the face and body. A home spa does not have to be elaborate, expensive, or perfect. It can be a practical part of a wellness lifestyle—one that helps you return to yourself while also supporting the people who rely on you.
One Intentional Protocol. Four Locations—and More to Come.
Spa Day currently takes place in four locations, with more to come. The setting may change, but the protocol remains distinct and intentional. Many locations. One intentional protocol. Each location has its own energy, rhythm, resources, and opportunities for connection. I adapt the experience thoughtfully to the setting without losing the purpose of the protocol. This gives participants a familiar foundation while allowing each Spa Day to offer something new. Returning to different locations is part of the experience. You may discover a setting that helps you rest, another that inspires connection, and another that gives you access to tools or practices you want to include in your regular self-care. The desire to return is not accidental. Each location becomes another doorway into your wellness lifestyle. If you already work from home and want to explore the restorative possibilities within your own city, you do not have to guess how to navigate an unfamiliar facility. I guide you through each step—from understanding the setting and its offerings to recognizing how the experience may fit your needs and goals. You can return with greater confidence and decide which locations belong in your own monthly self-care rhythm. Spa Day may also be offered as a couples experience. Facility formats vary: some facilities are separated by gender, some are co-ed, some are clothing-optional, and some permit nudity only in designated wet areas. Couples may be able to practice self-care together at some locations, while other settings are designed for separate areas or individual participation. Couples-focused facilities and experiences are also coming soon. Because every location has its own policies, atmosphere, and expectations, clients should read the location details carefully before registering to make sure the setting is a fit for their preferences, comfort, and boundaries. The goal is not to persuade anyone into a setting that does not feel right. The goal is to help each person choose intentionally and arrive prepared.
What You May Experience
Throughout the experience, you may encounter carefully guided practices that help regulate your nervous system while creating space for emotional healing and genuine connection. The details are shaped by the location and the theme of the gathering, but may include: • Taino-inspired community rituals and connection • Body-positive reflection and mirror work • Somatic practices for feeling safer inside your body • Breathwork and nervous-system support • Gentle self-massage education • Aromatherapy and essential-oil education • Nourishment and shared meals inspired by the setting • Sauna or steam experiences when available • Couples self-care when offered by the location and event format • Intentional rest, reflection, and integration • A curated self-care kit to take home This is not about performing wellness correctly. It is about receiving guidance, noticing what supports you, and learning how to carry the experience into your everyday life.
From One Gathering to a 90-Day Self-Care Practice
Spa Day is not intended to be a single day of escape followed by a return to the same patterns. Each participant receives a self-care kit and a 90-day self-care protocol that can be implemented independently after the gathering. The protocol is shaped around your needs and goals. It may help you create a monthly self-care rhythm, identify practices you can continue at home, and recognize which locations or resources support you most. The goal is not dependence on an event. The goal is to help you develop the knowledge, tools, and confidence to create a wellness lifestyle of your own. I help you consider what is realistic for your life. That may mean creating a spa experience at home, returning to one of the locations we visit, setting aside time each month for restoration, or building a combination of practices that support your body and nervous system over time.
Why This Matters
Many Americans live under relentless stress. Yet participants are still often taught to feel shame about spending time or money on themselves, especially when personal care is dismissed as frivolous or optional. But restoration is not frivolous. When a participant carries the emotional, practical, and caregiving weight of a household, their wellbeing affects the people around them. When they are depleted, the household can feel that depletion. When they have meaningful opportunities to rest, receive care, and rebuild their capacity, that restoration can ripple through the home. This is not a demand that participants carry responsibility for everyone’s health. It is an acknowledgment that many people have been expected to keep going without enough support. Spa Day creates a space where care can be received before exhaustion becomes the only reason to stop. The more participants are supported in taking intentional time for themselves, the more possible it becomes to build healthier homes, relationships, and communities. This is how wellness becomes a trend—not as another demand to perform, but as a culture of care that people can actually live.
Rooted in Community Healing
My professional work is grounded in more than 20 years of practice and more than 13,000 professional hours as a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, somatic practitioner, spiritual mentor, and ceremonialist. My lived relationship with community-based care reaches back more than 40 years through my Taino culture and roots. Those are two different forms of experience, and both shape how I hold Spa Day. I understand care as something that can be personal and communal, practical and sacred, restorative and ongoing. I believe a spa day can happen in a home, a sauna, a retreat setting, a community gathering, or a place you have not yet learned how to navigate. What matters is the intention, the support, and what you are able to carry forward. Spa Day is one way we practice that together.
An Invitation to Come Home
Whether you work from home and want meaningful care within reach, or you are ready to explore the restorative possibilities your city offers, The Inner Reset℠ Experience is designed to help you slow down and receive. Come for the setting. Stay for the connection. Return for the practices that support you. You will leave with more than a memory of one beautiful day. You will leave with a self-care kit, a 90-day protocol, and a clearer understanding of how to create a wellness lifestyle based on your needs and goals. Disrobe from the past. Live more fully in the present. Create your future intentionally. If you are ready for your own Inner Reset℠, I would be honored to guide you. Locations may change as the Spa Day community grows. The protocol remains intentional while each setting gives the experience its own character.
